Thomas Dausgaard conducted the Hong Kong Philharmonic at the Cultural Centre Concert Hall in January 2015.  The programme featured Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 3 (with Bezhod Abduraimov as soloist), Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides (Fingal’s Cave) and Elgar’s Variations on an Original Theme “Enigma”.

Kelly Chu reviewed the concerts for the Sing Tao Daily News writing [from the translation], “Thomas Dausgaard is an exceptional conductor.  Dausgaard put his attention to Abduraimov’s playing and kept his baton beating.  His style is pleasant to watch and shows emotion and grace, drawing lively colours to the music.  The audience applauded and cheered with joy.”
