Thomas Dausgaard returns to Glasgow’s City Halls to conduct the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for the 2020 BBC Live Proms on 5 September at 19:30 BST. Thomas will give the world premiere of Jay Capperauld’s Circadian Refrains (172 Days Until Dawn). The programme also includes George Walker’s Lyric for Strings, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat Major, with the celebrated Stephen Hough as soloist, and Richard Strauss’ Metamorphosen. Thomas conducted the world premiere of Walker’s Sinfonia No. 5 with Seattle Symphony in April 2019.

Audiences will be able to watch the concert on BBC iPlayer and listen on BBC Radio 3. The concert will also be available for UK and international listeners for 30 days on the BBC Sounds app.
