The Scotsman has praised the “refreshing curiosity” of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra’s season-opening concert. The theme for the Dausgaard and the BBCSSO’s season is “Composer’s Roots”, with the season-opener featuring Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony preceded by pieces from the composers who helped influence his musical personality.
