Thomas Dausgaard is set to conduct Seattle Symphony’s first-ever Mahler: Symphony No. 10 (Cooke version) during the orchestra’s 2015/16 season. Seattle’s Principal Guest Conductor, now in his second season with the orchestra, will conduct three subscription programmes.  In addition to Mahler’s great unfinished symphony, Thomas will conduct R. Strauss’ Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks; Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with guest violinist Henning Kraggerud; Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4, “The Inextinguishable” in celebration of the great Danish composer’s sesquicentennial in 2016; Haydn’s Symphony No. 88; Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A minor with soloist Boris Giltburg; and Schoenberg’s Transfigured Night.

He will also conduct Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks and Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4, “The Inextinguishable” as part of Seattle’s Untuxed series in November.
